We knew we loved Yenny and Chad the first time we met them in the studio to talk about their wedding plans. I mean, how could we not? These two are just the sweetest people ever. They had just moved to Albuquerque from San Francisco because Chad's dad had gotten ill, and they wanted to be close to family. Even though they were dealing with both the stress of planning a wedding and the worry of having a sick loved one, we never saw it impact them. They were always nothing but gracious, loving, and kind.
A few months before their wedding day. we met up in the beautiful bosque along the Rio Grande river for their engagement session. A gorgeous day with a stunning couple? We couldn't ask for more. Here's a few of our favorites from their Albuquerque engagement session.
And a few months later, it was their wedding day. We love weddings at Sandia Resort and Casino. Whether there or at the Sandia Event Center, it's a photographers dream with the Sandia mountain as a backdrop, the beautiful lake and bridge, and the famous New Mexico sunsets. It's a venue that never disappoints. And this wedding day was no exception.
Yenny was a classic bridal beauty, and her choice of bouquet was perfect. We loved the addition of succulents which was so popular with our 2017 brides. Chad was completely dapper, and we loved that he was full of visible emotion throughout the day. His love for his new wife and his friends and family was joy to witness.
After their sweet ceremony. we spent some time with these two exploring the beautiful property for their bride and groom portraits. The New Mexico skies gave us a stunning landscape, as always, and the breeze lifted Yenny's veil at just the right moment. Aaaaaaaaah. When the photography stars align, it makes us really. really happy.
And finally, it was time to dance the night away. We love wedding receptions. It's such an honor to be witness to moments of such fun, joy, laughter, and love. Like we do at most weddings, we laughed, and we cried along with everyone else. It seriously never gets old. Having a part in telling love stories, it's just the best job in the world.
We wouldn't trade it for anything.
So there you have it. A modern day fairytale. Happy ending and all.
