The Guy Behind The Lens

Greetings, one and all. I’m Matt, husband, father, primary photographer, and owner of Matt Blasing Photography.

For me, photography gives me a chance to see the world with brand new eyes every time I pick up my camera. Every couple is unique with a love story all their own, and my job is to tell your story the best way I know how.

Being a wedding photographer is about seeing beyond the surface of what’s in front of me, and being able to adapt to a situation and tell the story in different ways is exciting. Given the complexity of a wedding day, sometimes I get to be a photojournalist, telling a story through a chronological series of photos. At times, a food photographer, and a lifestyle or family photographer at others. As your wedding photographer, I get to show you what you look like through my lens, through my eyes. And trust me, you’re amazing.

When I'm not out doing my most favorite job in the world, I can usually be found with my beautiful wife Amy and our three golden retrievers. When we're not renewing our vows in Ireland, galavanting around Colorado, or going to concerts and standup comedy shows, we're building LEGO sets at home with good food and good tunes, or snuggled on the couch watching documentaries, crime or travel shows, or a certain reality show about fiancés. Married life is the best.
