Hello friends and loyal followers!
Sheesh, it's been quite a while since we've updated our blog, so we're determined to do some catching up and share some of the 70+ weddings we've photographed during our absence from here, along with sooo many engagements and portrait session. There's so much we want to share, and it's hard to choose where to start, so we're taking it back to 2017 with Korey and Scot's winter engagement session in Old Town Albuquerque.
We met Korey and Scot at a wedding show, and hit it off instantly. They were planning a wedding out of state, but wanted to have an engagement session right here in New Mexico. After talking a bit, we learned they had a retro-inspired them in mind. Being photographers that love it when our couples choose themes or settings that are specific to who they are and what they love, we were immediately excited to photograph their engagement session.
We helped Korey find a local hair and makeup artist so she'd have just the look she wanted. Hats off to the fabulous Christy Johnson at C. Johnson Makeup for making the already stunning Korey look even more beautiful. Having your engagement session during December in New Mexico can be a bit challenging, and of course most trees are bare and flowers won't bloom until Spring. But lucky for us, Old Town Albuquerque is a charming location any time of the year. The traditional architecture and colors of Old Town Plaza were the perfect backdrop for this adorable couple in love. And they are definitely in love. It's clear in every single photo. The love between Korey and Scot is infectious.
What we weren't prepared for leading up to their engagement session was the stunning custom designed engagement ring Scot have to Korey. Courtesy of Albuquerque's own Lilly Barrack, it was definitely a one of a kind piece of jewelry, and probably one of our favorite rings to date (and we've photographed a lot of rings).
Hope you enjoy some of our favorite images from this engagement session. And congrats to Korey and Scot on the start of their new life as husband and wife!
